Alcohol abstinence
The abstinence check is easy and convenient, done via urine sample - no unpleasant blood sample.
You make an appointment for the alcohol abstinence check with our assessment centre. At the first appointment you get an extensive consultation to answer all your questions. Depending on the duration of the programme, you'll be invited to be screened four times in a six month period or six to seven times in the course of a year. In the specialist laboratory, the urine will be analyzed for a by-product named ethylglucuronide (EtG). If no alcohol has been consumed, there is no ETG to be found in the urine. After a completed abstinence program, you will receive a certificate stating the result and the period of abstinence.
